The informational webinar will be a run-down of copyright basics specifically geared toward literary agents to best protect their client's rights. Discussion points will include:

·       What works are and are not copyrighted

·       Transferring and assigning rights

·       Implications of personal vs. LLC registration and contract assignment

·       Name changes and supplemental registration

·       Copyright duration and termination

·       Copyright registration and legal names vs. pseudonyms

·       Determining plagiarism and/or infringement

·       Fair use and requesting permissions
