Marie J. Harvat, MLIS

Marie is the Senior Manager, Firm Operations and Copyright Services at Solotoff Law.  She brings a passion for applying both creativity and rigor to ensuring our clients are served with excellence that is grounded in more than 15 years of knowledge management experience from corporate, nonprofit, and academic settings. 

Marie holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Dominican University and is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities School of Music. In March 2022, she completed the Paralegal Certificate Course through Minnesota State University, Mankato/CLS by Barbri®.

A Minnesota native, Marie has been a librarian for the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Orchestra, as well as held positions with Target and Best Buy and several small nonprofit organizations where she has managed data, systems, and teams.  After a sojourn to Las Vegas to lead the Zappos taxonomy and classification program, Marie returned home to Minneapolis, where she now resides.  She enjoys tending her garden, swimming in one of (more than) 10,000 lakes, and visiting her local arts district.
